INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION DAY
Presented by ASIFA-Atlanta
Tuesday, October 28 | 7:30PM
Hill Auditorium, High Museum of Art

In 2002, ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association, launched a global event to celebrate the art of animation. October 28th was proclaimed as International Animation Day (IAD), commemorating the first public performance of Emile Reynaud's Theatre Optique at the Grevin Museum in Paris, in 1892. Each year, ASIFA groups around the world celebrate IAD by exchanging animated short films and hosting free screenings open to the public. In 2013, about 35 different countries in all the continents celebrated this day.

This year will be ASIFA-Atlanta's 8th participating in IAD thanks to the support of local animators who submit to Roll Yer Own, our dedicated board and volunteers, the High Museum of Art, and animation fans like you.
