Animation Workshop is back!!!

Hello loyal Atlanta Animators!

A couple of things:

First: Yes indeed we're back and we're starting off with fireworks!

The Atlanta Animation Workshop will be having a special double June session.

We will be meeting on Sunday, June 1 and again on Sunday, June 8. The reason?

<drum roll>

Jai Husband, the Senior Animation Director at Turner Studios, will be

putting on an Acting Workshop for Animators. To quote:

"This workshop will introduce those in the animation discipline to the

basic vocabulary and process of classical theater preparation for

actors. It will relate practical stage performance to the specific

craft of character animation."

In addition to his credentials as an animator, Jai minored in acting

and playwriting during his undergraduate days at Morehouse and has

since been active in the Metro-Atlanta theater community as

playwright, director, producer, actor, and choreographer.  Mr. Husband

also served as the Artistic Director of Class Act Theater in Marietta

from 2004 to 2006.

You really can't afford to miss this and those of you that have been

in the Eagle's Nest at Manuel's know that there will be limited

seating (and standing).

"The Atlanta Animation Workshop holds a monthly meeting for animators

of all walks; professionals, amateurs, and students.

We share our work with each other for praise and criticism and just

generally talk shop.
